Qualitative methods were used by presenting international articles from international journals related to the topic. This study explores the concept of green hotels and analyzes the sustainable practices they implement. The results provide a better understanding of how the hospitality industry can improve their operational sustainability. This study also provides practical insights for practitioners to improve their operational sustainability by understanding the best practices implemented by green hotels. It is important for the hospitality industry to continue exploring the concept of green hotels and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact, enhance competitiveness, reduce long-term operational costs, and improve guest experience. Therefore, collaboration between industry stakeholders, government, and local communities is necessary to realize the vision of sustainable tourism.

Juniawan Mandala Putra, Erlina Puspitaloka Mahadewi, Zelvy Emmelya Sundary, Ratna Tri Hari S, Muhajir Muhajir Copyright (c) 2025 Juniawan Mandala Putra, Erlina Puspitaloka Mahadewi, Zelvy Emmelya Sundary, Ratna Tri Hari S, Muhajir Muhajir https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.abnus.org/jemeb/article/view/217 Wed, 25 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Improving Competitive Advantage through Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) supported by Value Creation and New Product Development on Manufacturing Sector in Bekasi Indonesia https://www.abnus.org/jemeb/article/view/225
This study examines how Value Creation and New Product Development (NPD) influence Competitive Advantage, and whether Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) mediate these relationships in the manufacturing sector. Employing a quantitative descriptive design, data were collected from 272 respondents across Bekasi’s manufacturing firms and analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS. The findings reveal that both Value Creation (β = 0.260, t = 2.297, p = 0.022, f² = 0.148) and NPD (β = 0.455, t = 4.949, p < 0.001, f² = 0.458) significantly and positively impact Competitive Advantage, with NPD exerting a stronger effect. Engagement with SDGs also positively affects Competitive Advantage (β = 0.158, t = 2.258, p = 0.024), albeit to a lesser extent. However, the direct relationships from Value Creation or NPD to SDG performance were not statistically significant, and SDGs did not mediate their effects on Competitive Advantage. This research contributes to theory by confirming innovation and stakeholder-centered value creation as primary drivers of competitive positioning, while highlighting that SDG alignment supports—but does not transmit—the benefits of operational and innovation efforts. Practically, it suggests firms should fortify value creation and NPD capabilities, and strategically integrate sustainability to amplify their competitive impact. The study is original in detailing the non-significant mediation of SDGs, challenging the common assumption that sustainability goals automatically follow from value or innovation investments. It provides nuanced insights into the distinct and complementary roles of value creation, product innovation, and sustainability engagement in driving competitive advantage in manufacturing contexts
Ahmad Sopyan, Sukesi Sukesi, Suyanto Suyanto, Aminullah Assagaf, Eddy Yunus Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Sopyan, Sukesi Sukesi, Suyanto Suyanto, Aminullah Assagaf, Eddy Yunus https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.abnus.org/jemeb/article/view/225 Tue, 05 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Employee Productivity Improvement Strategy Through Innovation: An Analysis of Digital Communication Technology and R&D in Trading Companies in Jakarta https://www.abnus.org/jemeb/article/view/224
Purpose: This study analyzes how CSR, innovation, and environmental policies influence organizational sustainability. It also examines how organizational culture mediates these factors to enhance overall performance.

Method: Study employ a quantitative research design, distributing structured questionnaires to employees and management in various industries. The data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to assess the relationships between the independent variables (innovation, CSR, and environmental practices), the mediating variable (organizational culture), and the dependent variable (organizational sustainability).

Results/Findings: The reasuts reveal Digital communication technology strongly enhances innovation (β = 0.771, t = 22.06, p < 0.001), while R&D modestly boosts innovation (β = 0.087, t = 1.96, p = 0.025). Notably, digital technology has no direct impact on productivity (β = 0.014, t = 0.50, p = 0.308). In contrast, R&D almost perfectly drives productivity (β = 0.996, t = 136.01, p < 0.001), and innovation also contributes positively but only slightly (β = 0.019, t = 2.00, p = 0.036). All interpretations align with standard significance benchmarks (|t| ≈ 2, p < 0.05) .

Contribution: By presenting data on important factors and the mediating function of organizational culture, this study advances our understanding of organizational sustainability. It provides practitioners and policymakers with helpful ideas on how to take use of these characteristics to enhance performance.

Originality: A comprehensive model of organizational sustainability is created by this research by combining five independent variables, a mediating variable, and a dependent variable. It presents a fresh viewpoint on how internal variables amplify the influence of sustainability drivers by highlighting the function of organizational culture, offering a comprehensive strategy for enhancing sustainability.
Aprison Aprison, Slamet Ryadi, Suyanto Suyanto, Sukesi Sukesi, Aminullah Assagaf Copyright (c) 2025 Aprison Aprison, Slamet Ryadi, Suyanto Suyanto, Sukesi Sukesi, Aminullah Assagaf https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.abnus.org/jemeb/article/view/224 Tue, 05 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Strategies for Improving Teacher Determinants Through Work Discipline Moderated by Leadership: an Empirical Study in Islamic Private Schools in East Java https://www.abnus.org/jemeb/article/view/228
The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of Competency (X1), Training (X2), Awareness (X3), Work Environment (X4) on Work Discipline (Z) and the influence of Competency (X1), Training (X2), Awareness (X3), Work Environment (X4), Work Discipline (Z) and Leadership (M) on Teacher Performance (Y).
